Now that Southern California has established it is subject to rainy days, anyone getting married soon is accepting the possibility. Brandon and Emily’s La Jolla wedding day couldn’t have had more perfect weather. Clear, sunny and calm, the California climate most know and love. Even in the middle of winter, summer can be felt and seen. This is what Brandon and Emily had for their big day.
The two said ‘I do’ under large Cypress Trees near a cliff overlooking San Diego’s gorgeous coast. Their venue was the Martin Johnson House, a rustic cottage built in 1916 to house professors and their families at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. It was a great spot for a wedding Brandon and Emily’s size. Guests were provided with blankets and a polaroid camera to take photos for the bride and groom, helping them remember the loved ones who made their day all the more lovely.
The celebration continued with delightful speeches, delicious food and dancing, dancing, dancing. Family and friends there to celebrate the couple kept the night lively and fun. When the reception had come to end, everyone gathered around the bar for one last drink before forming a tunnel for the newlyweds to exit through. A joyful ending to the incredible day Brandon and Emily will never forget.
Congrats to a beautiful couple on a classically beautiful California wedding day. Though your love is ready for any weather, may your life together be equally as rain-free.
