In San Diego, you can have a wedding 5 days after Christmas and the weather will pretend its a glorious summer day. The pleasant weather set a laid back tone perfectly suiting Daniel and Amanda’s wedding day attitude. They never got the mandatory “stressed out” memo. They instead stayed calm, flexible and enjoyed every single part. Which perfectly suits their love - fun, meant to be and easy.

The day began at the mid-century modern style La Jolla Cove Hotel where Amanda and her bridesmaids got ready. From there we drove 5 minutes down the street to Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church for the beautiful ceremony, hints of Christmas in the decor and lots of love all around. There the bride and groom saw each other for the first time and exchanged vows to love each other forever. Next we headed to the beach with the entire wedding party to savor every minute of their gorgeous summer-in-December wedding day.

The party continued at the Luce Loft, a chic industrial space in the heart of downtown San Diego. As if we hadn’t seen enough beauty, we capped off the day watching the sunset from the top level of a structure nearby. Another reception highlight was when Daniel’s brother and relatives played a live song for the newlywed’s first dance. The love Amanda and Daniel have is the kind of love people sing about, write about, hope for and celebrate. Celebrate they did and it sure was sweet.

Congratulations, Daniel and Amanda! Thanks for fun and easygoing shoots in the city and the beach. Your love is inspiring - we’re happy to have it on our blog and in our world!
